The Airport Road Kraft Creek Bridge is located on Airport Rd. between Lafleur Drive and Laforest Rd. It is the main connection between Timmins and the Victor Powers Airport with an AADT (average automobile daily traffic) count of 4000. The current structure was built in 1979, but due to its current condition it has been determined that replacement is required.
Because of the current condition of the Kraft Creek Bridge, the City of Timmins in the winter of 2015 undertook a Preliminary Design Study, awarded to McIntosh Perry. As of summer 2016, the preliminary design study is nearing final completion.
As new design reports and presentations are completed, this page will be updated continuously with new reports and/or notices throughout the length of the project. For any other information or inquiries please contact the City of Timmins Engineering Department at engineering@timmins.ca.
